The opportunity:

As a result of rapid, continuous growth, Opus One needs an experienced and dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist to help us scale our fast-growing Research and Development Group that primarily consist of Software Developers. This is a full-time role with an opportunity to develop company-wide recruiting practices. Our Talent Acquisition Specialist will work closely with the Research and Development team, identify and engage with top technical talent, drive recruiting best practices, diversify hiring strategies, increase employer branding, and ensure an exceptional candidate recruitment experience.

Who are you:

You are bright, energetic and extremely detail oriented. For the past three years, you have been working in a fast growing tech company in Tech Recruiter/Talent Acquisition role. Challenges don't knock you down – they make you excited. You are adept at collaborating with a hiring team and building trust with candidates. You are obsessed with the candidate experience and always make sure every candidate feels great about the process no matter the outcome. You want to grow your career and increase your reach from technical recruiter to Talent Acquisition Specialist.

What will our new Talent Acquisition Specialist work on?

  • Manage the full cycle recruitment process. From sourcing, screening and coordinating onsite interviews to managing the offer process and conducting reference checks.
  • Use various sourcing methods. You will use Linkedin, Boolean searches, cold calling, referrals, social media and other techniques to develop a pipeline of talented candidates.
  • Attend networking events. You will bring awareness about Opus One to the GTA tech community.
  • Partner with the People and Culture Manager. You will collaborate on improving current talent acquisition initiatives and processes.

Here’s what you bring:

  • 3+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience at a fast-growing software company.
  • Proven metrics demonstrating your skills in sourcing and placing candidates from various technical roles (particularly software engineers).
  • An extensive network of tech talent in the GTA & Waterloo areas.
  • Successful experience building and using a variety of sourcing tools and strategies to find candidates.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • An exceptional level of prioritization, attention to detail and organization.
